Class Descriptions
Pencil & Pastel
Learning how to draw is one of the most requested artistic skills that I teach, and knowing how to draw aids in virtually every other artistic endeavor. This is why I offer this class everyday and it is the primary class that I teach. In this class, all my students work on individual projects and move along at a pace that is comfortable for them. They are given the opportunity to choose subjects that are of interest to them and I am there to provide guidance through their artistic journey.
Acrylic Painting
Once a student has learned the basics of drawing they can move on to panting. This class is designed to introduce each student to the techniques of acrylic painting. Each student will learn about composition, color mixing, under-painting, glazing, and texturing. Ask Amanda about painting if painting is not listed as a class.
Watercolor Painting
Once a student has learned the basics of drawing they can move on to watercolor panting. This class is designed to introduce each student to the techniques of watercolor painting. Watercolor is a beautiful translucent medium that is very expressive. Each student will learn about composition, color mixing, creating washes, how and when to us masking fluid and how to create textures. This is a great class to get started with watercolor painting. Ask Amanda if you do not see this class listed.
