Frequently Asked Questions

Can I start in the middle of a session?

Yes. Because I teach each student individually within a class setting, it is not necessary to start at the beginning of a session.

What kind of payment do you accept?
I accept cash or personal check.

When do I pay for the session?
To reserve a seat in a particular class I ask for a $50 non-refundable deposit. The balance of the session cost is due on the first day of class.

Can I pay as I go?
Unfortunately, no. Since I have limited seating in my classes I need a commitment for the session to hold a seat for your child.

What happens if my child misses a class?
If your child has a conflict with art class or is sick (please keep him/her home) we simply schedule a makeup for the missed class. The makeup class can be made up by attending one of my other classes on a different day. I do ask that all makeups be done during the current session as I do not transfer credit to the next session. If you know that your child is going to miss a class in advance please let me know so that I know that I have space for other children to makeup classes in their spot.

What happens if the weather is bad?
I do not follow the Central Bucks closing announcements. I make my own decision based on the expected weather conditions at class time. If a class is to be canceled I will post an announcement on my website one hour before class starts. This may be earlier if conditions will be obvious at class time. Makeups can be scheduled for the missed class at your decretion. All makeups must be made up during the current session - no credit will be transferred to the next session.

Do I need my supplies the first day?
You will only need a sketch pad or some paper and a pencil for the first day. Supplies will be needed for the second class.

I don't see any age groups on your classes.

How do I know where to place my child?
I have a mix of ages and skill levels in all of my classes. Since I teach each child individually within the class by giving them age and skill appropriate activities, the age of your child is irrelevent. This also allows you to choose the best class day that suits your schedule. My experience has also shown that not all 10 - 12 year olds (or any specific age group) can make class on a given day. I will try to guide a student into a class with children their age if possible.

My child has not had any instruction before, is that OK?
Yes. I start each child out from the absolute beginning and use a specific cirriculum to build their confidence in their drawing skills and themselves
