The joy we have as children when we create is so pure and true. Children create with out boundaries they don't ask themselves is it good enough, are the colors right, will someone else like it? No they just do what feels good for themselves. This simple selfish act is so innocent and pure. It is what creating is all about. As adults we must learn to be a little selfish. We must put ourselves first when we are doing our art. It is hard to turn off the sensors that we have inside our heads and just allow our hearts to create. We have to get back to making art that speaks to our souls and our own hearts. If some one else likes it than that is an added bonus, but it should not be why you create. Create for you, "the child in your heat"
